PIP Expands in Memphis - June 8, 2007
PIP announced today that it has expanded its Memphis distribution center for the third time since opening there in 2001. This demonstrates the Company’s confidence in the Memphis market and continues to signal a long term commitment to the safety products industry for both the American worker and “do-it-yourself” homeowner.
PIP employs 21 people in Memphis and has just completed an agreement to add 45,000 square feet of space to the current 90,000 square feet that the Company now occupies. The Company operates it headquarters facility and has a 165,000 square foot distribution center in Guilderland Center New York and third distribution center in Rancho Cucamonga California. PIP also operates a manufacturing facility in Chaska Minnesota where high technology cut resistant gloves and arm guards are manufactured.
PIP began operation in 1984 and has expanded through organic growth and acquisitions to become a nearly $100M sales organization. The 2006 acquisition of the Brahma Glove Division of Great Southern Company located in Memphis has allowed PIP to enter the consumer market with the Brahma® and Mud Glove® brands.
