PIP announces new QSSP graduate

Protective Industrial Products is pleased to announce that Jay Rodgers, Construction and Specialty Markets Division Manager, has earned the designation of Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP).

Jay successfully completed the QSSP course, created and sponsored by the leading associations in the safety equipment industry. It is a rigorous, week-long course focusing on the technical and regulatory fundamentals of workplace safety and health for safety equipment marketing and sales professionals.

Rick Raymer CSP, Course Director states “QSSP increases the knowledge and competency of the Safety Sales Professional which builds trust and credibility in the customer relationship. The resulting partnership ultimately impacts on the reduction of injury and illness in the workplace.”

QSSP students are given a strong grounding in the principles and practices of occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and risk management fundamentals, health and safety regulations, and workers’ compensation.

“We are quite proud of this achievement by Jay. It clearly demonstrates Protective Industrial Products’ commitment to fielding the most well trained employees in the industry,” said Robin Roberts, Vice President of Sales at PIP.

The QSSP program is sponsored by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) and the Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA). Since its creation in 1995, over 900 marketing and sales professionals have completed the course.
